Academics
How learning is planned, supported and monitored across Elementary, Middle and High grade levels.
Grades K–5
Elementary
Foundational reading, writing, mathematics, learning routines, and age-appropriate skill development.

Grades 6–8
Middle
Building stronger academic skills, organization, independence, writing, and preparation for high-school-level learning.

Individual Learning Support
Students receive guided support during scheduled program days. Instruction is adjusted to the student's current level so learning stays challenging without becoming discouraging.
Learning Plans
Every student has a Learning Plan describing focus areas, goals and pacing. The plan is reviewed and updated as the student progresses.
Progress Monitoring
Learning is observed and recorded throughout the quarter so families can see how a student is doing well before the quarter ends.
Academic Records
Families share records such as report cards, current grades and transcripts so staff understand a student's learning level. Records are used for planning and progress purposes only.
Parent Collaboration
Families set learning priorities, review reports and stay in regular contact with the Learning Guide supporting their student.
Educational Program Access
Families may use an educational program or platform of their choosing alongside the Academy's learning support. The Academy never stores login passwords for outside programs.
Academic Progress & Reporting
Our Home Education Learning Program uses progress-based reporting to help families understand how their student is learning and developing. Progress reports may include skill development, participation, learning growth, strengths, and areas where additional practice or support may be helpful.
Student learning may also include assignments, courses, or learning programs that provide numeric scores or letter grades. When grades are provided, the A–F grading scale below is used as a reference.
Progress Levels
- Exceeding Expectations — Demonstrates strong understanding and can apply the skill independently.
- Meeting Expectations — Demonstrates the expected understanding or skill.
- Developing — Making progress but still needs practice or support.
- Beginning — Beginning to develop the skill and needs continued guidance.
- Not Yet Assessed — There is not enough information yet to determine progress.

College & Career Planning Support
Enrolled high-school families receive planning support through the Family Portal, including:

- • College planning guidance
- • Career planning and exploration
- • State scholarship information
- • Home Education educational information and resources
The resource library is available inside the Family Portal to families with an active Home Education enrollment. The Academy does not determine admission, scholarship or eligibility decisions.
